Pontiac Montana 1997-2011Change

As the inside of the car has only so much space to put things, a more spacious trunk would have made it better. As my family goes camping every now and then, we had to store the tent inside which took up lots of room. All in all, the van is pretty good, it is exactly enough for a smaller sized family. It gets the job done just don't over pack or you will lose space very quickly

This is a reliability mini-van with tons of storage space for soccer families. It is comfortable and performs well. It would have better gas mileage but is decent. Overall, an ideal family car.

This is a great minivan for families - comfort and reliability. It has been a solid vehicle for us and is a great vehicle to take on vacations as it offers a ton of storage space.

I am driving that car for 4 years. I bought it when it had 145000 km. Now the car have 201000 km. I am satisfied with it.

My Pontiac Montana is not only comfortable but has also proven to be a great family car and practical for many uses. It is great when we go on family trips and camping because of all the storage space. It's also good for sports because you can carry a lot of equipment and with 7 seats, extra players if you need to.

This vehicle is a people mover! Up to 7 at a time. Space for everyone. Easy to get into and out of. It has been great on the highway and the city causes me no concerns. I have trailered with it and also a 5 bike carrier. That makes a great combo package. I like how when I sit in it, I can see above the other vehicles to stay in control of my driving experience. Routine maintenance has kept this vehicle solid for over 225,000 kms and still going strong. Gas mileage, not spectacular but not a hog, either! Very satisfied with this vehicle keeping me moving forward and safely back home again.

I loved to drive it. It has a roomy interior. Very good handling.

My experience with this vehicle overall has been good, its needed repairs but you can expect that for an older vehicle. I take care of my vehicles and this one was no exception. It is a very nice riding vehicle, with the air ride suspension. It has every power related convenient option. Great on gas, overall a decent vehicle.

Simply loved my 2002 Pontiac Montana. Made many great trips and spent so much time with the car, and I can truly say that it is a very reliable vehicle. Only real downside is fuel economy (moderate) but it has so much space for carrying almost anything that it's a clean tradeoff.

Miss that car!

Ive had this minivan with my family for almost 8 years now. It hasn't disappoint us. Driving this van is excellent because its drive handling is great.

Bought ours new in 2005. It currently has just over 250,000 kms. This van has been very dependable through the years. The maintenance costs are very low. It still rides nice and gives great fuel economy on the highway. I would recommend this as a good value family hauler, these vans sell for very reasonable prices. I've spent more on maintenance on my 2011 Sienna in 3 years than I did in 9 years with the montana.

This van was a great vehicle. It was easy to drive and had a good ride. Other than Pontiacs seem to have a thing about the ABS which seemed to always need servicing and that the gas meter stopped working, it has given me very few problems. It has over 300,000 kms on it and still going strong! Anything else has been just normal maintenance and a few things here and there that just break down with age. With the seats removed it has lots of room for cargo and has served me well as my work vehichle. I've enjoyed using it so much that I decided I wanted another one - just a little newer.

I have been driving this van for last 9 years.. never had any issues every. Recently changed the tie rods. Minor tuneups should get you going for another few years without any problems.

Nice roomy vehicle for a larger family. Seats seven adults comfortably and still has room for a decent sized cargo. Used it for 3 years and loved it.

This is the second 2003 Montana I've owned. I find it's a dream on gas, comfortable to drive/ride in and it has a ton of space. Things I didn't like are the fact that the CD player is not MP3 compatible, and removing the 3rd row seating is a pain. (I remove them a lot - I have 4 kids, and also use the van to carry my band's gear to gigs)

This vehicle has made it through many voyages. It is multifunctional. It's allow for family trips and construction pickups. It has been a reliable and comfortable ride for several years.

The biggest problems I've had have been with the driver's side window -- when closing, it catches on something inside the door momentarily, but then closes normally. Had it checked, and found the drive arm was bent. Was replaced, but lately it has started to doing it again. Gas economy leaves something to be desired, but otherwise it is pretty good for a van. I drive occasionally between Toronto and Buffalo, and recently between Toronto and Kingston. Handles very well on the highway, but is a little heavy for just two people, now. But I'll keep it until I can get a respectable value for it in trade. Dealers want you to give it away to them because GM no longer makes Pontiacs. It has given me more reliable service than any previous van I've had, including my previous Town & Country.

I have driven van for over 11 years and it has not given me any problems. Seats 7 passengers very comfortably and the the fold flat bench seat which is not offered in similar vans allows for big cargo area.

I really love this van! Love the amount of space she has to offer and all the extras that come with it!

Purchased vehicle used with approx. 75000kms in 2009 for $11,000. In 4 yrs have put 41000kms on it with very few problems (power window sliders, transmission coolant hoses and thermostat). Biggest complaint would be all the rattles it makes. 3rd row seats easily fold up and with a bit of muscle are rather easily removed. For a family of 4 it is very versatile from getting 4X8 sheets of drywall to a full size couches brought home! Has DVD system and power slide door both are great for the young family. The engine, 3.4L is starting to get sluggish still can pull off a highway pass loaded with 4 and cargo. Fuel economy is starting to slide, was around 13L/100 when bought, now around 16L/100 (city driving). Highway is around 11L/100. Will likely keep for 1 more year. It has been great as the family people mover.

I had never problem with this car...never stoped me on road....got a new car so have to sell it otherwise wont have sell

I bought this car used, Have owned and operated it for 3 years now during which this time it seems as though there is always something else going wrond with it. I have heard many people tell me it is notorious for the head gaskets going. I had to replace head gaskets, rad, starter relay, spark plug wires among other things. Heated seats don't work.

its a great van! i love it its blue, rust free, only thing that isnt good is the rocker panels. that seems to happen to all these model vans
