2000 Mazda Protege

not too bad
havent had any problems, almost 400k kilometers and still running strong, shifts well and stars in any weather no roblems at all.

Reliable Ride
This is a very reliable vehicle in my experience. In the short few years I had this vehicle I only had to do basic work on it like oil and tire changes. I had the stock version and it performed above my expectations.

2001 Mazda Protege

I love it!
I bought this car 7 years ago and still to this day I never went to the mechanics for any problems. I never experienced any problem with this car. The car is very fuel efficient and the engine is amazing. The car is very comfortable and would really recommend this car for a small family.

2002 Mazda Protege

An Excellent car that never stops and never let you down.
I find a perfect car, that its engine will run forever, but the design is not an attractive one, its a very great car for someone who wants to save money on fuel, and to drive lots of miles with one tank.
A good family car, very comfortable.

1996 Mazda Protege

I've had this 1996 Mazda for 14 years and it's been extremely reliable, and is extremely fuel efficient. I'd buy another any time

2003 Mazda Protege

Zoom Zoom - reliable and looks great!
This car has been very reliable, and gets great gas mileage. The 2.0 l engine has lots of power; yet the 4 cyl make it fuel efficient. The manual transmission and the spoiler give it a sporty look and feel (we have had people stop us and compliment us on the car's look).

The car has a roomy trunk, and the split seats have made it easy to load some bigger objects. The dash is set up in a user friendly manner, with all controls easily accessible.

Basic, reliable mechanics but poor body
Great reliable and fun car however the rust is a silent killer. The body lost its appeal and the rust even got under the hood and rotted out the suspension!

Love Our Mazdaspeed Protege
Pros: Reliability, fuel economy, style, a lot cheaper than comparable cars.

I have the LX edition & I LOVE this car. Bought it used with 12000 miles on it &it was worth every penny I paid. Never gave me any trouble, considering it is 10 yrs old and has over 130000 miles on it I think I got more than my fair share of value.

Very reliable...
I owned a '94 protege back in the day, and it was the best car I ever had. I drove it everywhere in Canada, and it never quit on me. It was a basic, 4 door, automatic sedan that I drove to the ground. My experience with Mazda proteges has been awesome. This protege is no exception, it drove well, was great on gas, and was well maintained. My fiancee was the second owner, and regularly serviced it at the same mechanic shop. I believe after some TLC, this car would be able to surpass 500,000 Kms easily. Anyone who knows cars knows, 'they don't make them like they used to.'

1998 Mazda Protege

very good on fuel and reliable car
Enjoy driving it with only 1.5 L Engine. I have no problems with it even no problems in this strong winter. One click start. Beautiful and reliable. Build in DVD is amazing and cost me $400 alone. I strongly recommend to take a look and drive this.

This compact car is a great ride and has very good handling whether city or highway.
Very good on gas, and reliability is excellent.

2002 Mazda Protege

Awesome little car
It always surprises me how much I like driving this car. It handles really well even on gravel and snow and has amazing pick up. It is really economical too. I was driving a Toyota Corolla before and this uses way less gas. I have 3 kids and they sit comfortably in the back. It's not the fanciest thing on the road but it's a great, economical car that pulls through the Canadian snow and climbs up my gravel driveway easy peasy.

Great Gas Milage
This car is an all round great car. Reliable and comfortable. Never let us down in performance. Blizzack tires and so great in snow in winter. Love this car, 2001 mazda protege es gt sport. Owned three and all were dependable.

Great Commuter Car

Love it!
this has been a great, reliable car for me. It's not the nicest to look at, but the seats are comfy, my kids are comfy in the back, and not totally squished with their car seats and booster seats. The gas mileage is fantastic. I do love it.

2001 Mazda Protege

Great little car!
I bought my 2001 Mazda Protege brand new, and I have never fallen out of love with it. It's a great little car, I keep it regularly maintained with oil changes and I have never had a serious problem with it yet and it is still on the road.

My Protege has 281,000 kms on it and it is still running strong! I have had to replace the timing change belt once (all foreign cars have them) and I have had to replace the water pump but other then that it's perfect!

great little ride
me and my girlfriend bought this as our first car in 2008 it had 167000 km on it and ive only had to repair the exhaust on it it now has 213000 km on it and it still runs fine
