Maserati Quattroporte 2005-2009Change

One of the nicest cars on the street. A real head turner. The older versions do not lose their luster. Like fine wine stays very well with age.

A great driving experience, and, nothing sounds like a Maserati! A real kick to drive for a larger sedan. If you want a four door sports car, this is the one. The others in this class just do not have the same panache.

Noted on the maintenance side that the vehicle can at times be finicky. If something requires maintenance it will be expensive but if that is not an issue and you have patience to maintain the car the rewards are there.

Extremely comfortable, fast, smooth, and gets a lot of smiles from other people looking at you. This is really the ultimate car since how luxurious it is and also at how fast it is.

I bought an 09 QP-S with 32K miles that was imported from US. After reading several forums cautioning potential buyers about the "tempermental" nature of these beautiful cars, I can confirm that those reviews are largely WRONG. Everything works like new on my car. No issues, no surprises, no gotcha's. The Bose infotainment system works just fine - you just have to thumb through the manual for 15 minutes to get familiar with it. Sitting in the driveway or cruising down the highway, these cars are amazing and will turn heads everywhere you go. Beautiful and very comfortable interior. Driving feel, handling and power are awesome - like King Kong in a fine Italian suit. If you're considering one, get it checked out and spend a few extra minutes inspecting and driving the car yourself. Amazing car.

As I approached the Quattroporte on the second floor of the parking structure, I noticed a couple of twenty-something guys circling it. When I hit the key fob to unlock the doors, they looked a little startled and started heading off sheepishly. Then one of them turned around, walked over to me, and said, "Seeing that car made our day. Thanks!" Now, we've had some pretty impressive cars in our test fleet, but I can honestly say that I've never had anyone thank me just for letting them look at a car in a public parking lot. And that should tell you something about the Quattroporte. On paper, its competitors are the Mercedes S-class and the BMW 7-series (in their most uplevel trims), but in real life the Maserati has a cachet that those two cars --- as good as they are --- just can't match.
