1995 Chevrolet Suburban

by merrittgirl on 11-13-2017
Love my ride
This vehicle has never let me down. I do a lot of off road driving and it is fantastic. I love my ride! I will always be a Suburban Girl. The fuel usage is incredible for the size of it. I am physically handicapped and I never worry about getting in and going anywhere I choose to. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Decadent, but enjoyable
It got me from point a to point b with little to no breakdowns. I guess that in this age of ecological awareness, the Chevy Suburban is a dinosaur. Still, while I have switched over to something a little more earth friendly, I'll hold a special pace in my heart for the Suburban. One thing I do not miss are the expenses of keeping her fuelled. Definitely not wallet friendly.

LOVE this Vehicle
This car has been our perfect family car. We have 5 kids and were tired of having a minivan, but didn't want to give up the space and comfort. The fuel economy is less than the minivan, but completely worth it.

Surburban feedback
Overall great ride and reliable although for the third row seating, would prefer stow and go instead having to remove them. Definitely recommend buying a Surburban.

good drive
works great, gets me from point a to b, ok on gas and mileage, sturdy and dependable. Would recommend it to anyone, kids love it, doesn't look the best on the outside but that doesn't really matter to us, as long as we can get to appts and what not we are happy

Good truck
This has been a very reliable vehicle for our family. It needs a little bit of wear and tear work. We havent travelled too much with it, trips to toronto and kingston and watertown NY. Mostly city driven. Tons and tons of room to accommodate people and luggage. Sad to see it go!

I've had a great experience with mu suburban. No problem seating 7 adults, a dog and stuff comfortably. Would totally look into buying another one down the road if my personal situation changed.

Must Sell
Great truck, awesome to drive, reliable, no troubles, hasn't cost me anything other than regular maintenance. Gets about 700kms to a tank of fuel. Tows our car trailer awesome. Only reason we are selling it is I need a truck for work to carry tools and materials.

Working in luxury
This truck can carry anything and everything. Seriously! The 3rd row seats are removable, and the 2nd row seats fold flat for easy loading of any equipment or materials.

The rear-view parking display makes parking easy and quick, And the proximity sensors are very good.

The fully loaded surround sound makes music and movies come to life.

The truck has a built-in navigation system, and is ready for you to hook up OnStar or your XM Radio account.

The V8 Flex-fuel option makes this huge truck actually reasonable for the long drives and vacation-type trips.

A great family vehicle, or work vehicle. It is flexible for either, and meets these needs easily and in style!

Solid Truck
I have had my Suburban for 6 years now, and it's been wonderful. It drives well, is comfortable and isn't a total pig on gas (it's bad, but not the worst). I have had some issues with my truck, but they were primarily concerning its age rather than any mechanical or design defects.

I am very happy with this truck. It offers a great mix of comfort and capability.

Aside from regular wear and tear it has never to this date let me down or left me stranded. Great people mover. Have taken grandchildren on long family trips and 10 hour drives seem like short commutes. You will not be disappointed.

Great Truck
The Chevy Suburban is a great truck for either work or family. It has lots of space and seats. The gas milage is not the best, but that is like most trucks from back then. I have had it for 14 years and it still runs pretty good.

It is the best for family vacations and highway driving. We take it everywhere from city to highway. The only bad thing about this vehicle is that we have had to replace the rear end in it multiple times. We miss 4x4 :(

Family Truckster with Great Styling!
We originally purchased our Suburban while looking for a more "sporty" alternative to our Chrysler Town&Country mini van.

While definitely not the same "class" of vehicle, the Suburban featured all the amenities we loved in our van combined with the additional benefits associated with a full frame, V8, 4 wheel drive truck. It was like getting three vehicles in one. The interior featured the heated leather seats, remote start, premium entertainment and sound system and all the "toys" and space of our Town&Country. The new generation exterior offered the stylish sporty appearance we were looking for and the 8 cylinder, full frame, 4 wheel drive chassis gave us towing ability and Winter driving peace of mind. At just over 7000 pounds with on demand 4wd this truck will go through about anything Winter can throw at it.

The only downside in going from the front wheel drive 6 to the four wheel drive 8 was the expected loss of fuel economy. Although with the active fuel management system we're still getting roughly the posted fuel economy, 15ish MPG city and 20ish MPG highway.

Overall I couldn't be happier with our decision to get the Suburban. I wouldn't trade it for the world...

2007 Chevrolet Suburban

Awesome truck
It's heavier than we'd like and it still doesn't have a fold-flat third row, but the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban is much more refined than the previous truck. If you need a full-size SUV with maximum capacity, the Suburban is a compelling choice.

Pros

Attractive interior with solid materials, comfortable ride and seating, smooth V8, accommodates up to nine passengers, class-leading cargo capacity.
Cons

No fold-flat third-row seat, acceleration can be sluggish when fully loaded, hefty curb weight dulls handling.

The truck is extremely durable
You can take it off-road and pretty much do anything with it.The Chevrolet Suburban full-size SUV is available in three well-equipped trim levels: LS, LT and LTZ. All are powered by V8s. Standard on the Suburban 1500 is a 5.3-liter unit making 320 horsepower and 335 pound-feet of torque. The 2500 gets a 6.0-liter V8 packing 352 horses and 382 lb-ft. Both are matched to a smooth and cooperative six-speed automatic transmission. A choice of two- or four-wheel drive is yours either way, and towing capacities can approach 10,000 pounds.

An excellent ride
Its a high powered vehicle. You notice that as soon as you start driving it. It may not have the best fuel economy (say for example next to a Toyota minivan) but it has a higher performance. It has a very comfortable ride and also has a very nice exterior and interior design. It's reliable especially in our Canadian winters.

It's a reliable SUV for any family. I had it for 5 years now and there is only minor problem with the sliding passenger door, nothing else. But the SUV have never let the family down otherwise. I would recommend it.
