2010 Equinox
Luxury drive with lots of trunk space. Minimal blind spots. Rear camera very convenient. Pretty good on gas for a V6.
Ideal family vehicle

2010 Chevrolet Equinox

not just a lemon, the whole lemon tree
I have a 2010 Chevy Equinox and have had nothing but problems since the very beginning. Have had over $20,000 worth of warranty work to it, my engine taken apart 5 times and parts sent back to GM. I have had so many rental cars for service on my equinox that the rental place upgrades me for free! 4 times my car was in the shop for over 2 weeks at a time. Each time they say it's fixed but still continues to act up. I have switched dealerships as well, same situation. GM won't replace my vehicle and I am a single parent with no so excellent credit (my first car purchase) so I am stuck with it! Still on warranty thank goodness so riding out the warranty for now. Don't believe me? Google 2010 Equinox Engine problems…there are hours upon hours of reading to back me up. Think twice before buying this car!

2010 Equinox
Very impressed with performance and fuel consumption for V6 SUV. Lots of trunk space and rear seats fold down for extra trunk space.

Very comfortable easy drive with no little blind spot. The keyless entry and power rear door is a bonus.

My experience
This car is cozy, spacious, light, quiet and personalizable. Back seats go down, speakers are in good condition and the car heats up within 7-10 minutes. Parts for wear and tear are inexpensive and have a large availability in Canada which means shipping would be cheaper :)

I'm sad that I MUST sell it!!!!!
I need money, and that's exactly why I'm putting the car up for sale. I know that if in, say, six months from now, I'm going to purchase a car, it will AGAIN be a Chevrolet Equinox -HONESTLY!!!! A lot of you folks out there probably know that GM came up with "Equinox" after the huge bail out that they received from the government. And it actually worked, they sold a lot of them. I myself have recommended it to everyone I know. Driver's seat is great. The dashboard is easy to use and informative. Gas consumption is great for a family SUV. The stereo sounds fantastic. Car maneuverability, and steering is awesome. There's plenty of space in the back.

Chev Equinox 2010
Pros: Features of the car. Bluetooth, back up camera, remote start is awesome and fuel economy is good. My average is 9.6.

Cons: I don't know how reliable the car is. Have had several minor problems with the vehicle and I only have 56K on the car. Car's performance is weak. With a 2.2L engine fuel economy is good, but you sacrifice power.

Overall car is good for the price you pay. I bought mine 6 months ago it was a 2010 model with 48,000 kms AWD and was able to get it for $21,000.

great car
This vehicle is comfortable to drive and reliable. it is great in town. The only concern would be when you are when you acelerate on the highway and it doesn't take off right away.
The backseat area is roomy as the seat is ajustable. Get the automatic trunk lift as it makes it easier.Overall a great car.

Average Family Vehicle
This vehicle has been great for our growing family. There is enough storage, its easy to get in and out of and is great on rural cottage roads and hills. The one drawback that we are disappointed with is that there is a loud rattle that developed about a year after purchase. We have brought the car in repeatedly for it, and reports are that its just a loud car. You can really notice it at drive thru's as it echo's against the wall.

AWD great for all weather
With 42,000km on this little suv it has done pretty well so far. We have had a few minor issues with it however they were addressed by the dealer right away and are fixed. Fuel Economy for an AWD is pretty good. Would recommend this suv to anyone!

Great on Gas
We had a chance to drive all-wheel-drive Equinoxes with old and new V-6s back-to-back, and we found no difference in drivability beyond the extra kick in the pants. The upshift-happy six-speed automatic carries over, as do high output peaks that encourage a heavy right foot and make frugality difficult. (The previous V-6 offered maximum power and twist at 6950 and 5100 rpm, respectively; the new motor churns them up at 6500 and 4800.) From the sliding rear seat, however, we detected a significant difference in engine noise. The 3.6 is considerably louder for those in the second row, who are treated to a slightly buzzy, metallic note.

As for the interior, Chevy MyLink with navigation makes its way to the options list for the first time—in the past, buyers were forced to choose between a navigation system and MyLink—although it will be available only on the mid-level LT and range-topping LTZ trim levels. Those two trims also gain an eight-way power passenger seat (optional on the LT) and a Safety package, which includes forward-collision alert, lane-departure warning, and radar-based rear park assist. Also new is an available rear-seat entertainment system that includes monitors in the back of the front headrests, dual wireless headphones, and a dual-player DVD setup—again, available as an option only on LT and LTZ trims. With any luck, it’ll distract the kids from the engine noise.

2LT equinox - TOP NOTCH
We have nothing but positive things to say about our equinox. It's beautiful, reliable and a pleasure to travel in. The fuel economy is not as good as we expected, but we also purchased the larger engine.

Gotta like it
The 2Lt package is everything you could want in a vehicle. the Moon Roof and Navigation package are the only option missing. With two or three GPS systems lying around the house, the in-dash isn't really missed and the little storage compartment on the console looks like it was made for aftermarket GPS systems. A very quiet ride due to the "padding" is abundantly clear, especially when listening to your favourite tunes. Gas mileage so far after a few months is 11 liters per 100kms. Not bad after having a mini-van that averaged 15. AWD is awesome especially in the rain.

Very Smooth and Quiet Ride
The 2010 has the new look, I love the ride, it is very smooth and quiet and very roomy, with back seats that fold down to give lots of cargo space. The Equinox is made in Canada to handle Canada. It has an Eco system to give your great fuel economy on the highway, very comfortable seats and The Equinox’s dashboard is very detailed in its class, classy LCD containing an array of trip- and vehicle-related data.
