Cadillac SRX 2004-2014Change

I leased this car as a company car for four years. Great ride with stylish look for transporting clients. Especially appreciated the V6 engine's get up and go when travelling down to the states on the expressways. No hesitation for passing those many trucks you see on the road daily. Comfortable ride for both front and back seats, and the six speaker Bose sound system is great.

Sporty little SUV is a lot of fun on the road. The best part is when young kids in "fast cars" or "jacked trucks" pull up beside the middle aged lady in the "mom car" at the lights. They usually get left on the line when the light turns green.

The seats leave a lot to be desired. Even after owning this car for three years they are still very stiff. Driving more than a couple hours starts to get uncomfortable, but it's fine for ripping around the city.

Also not a big fan of everything being touch screen, as Alberta winters usually require gloves, but it's difficult to adjust the temperature, turn the heated seats on, or do anything else when you're wearing gloves.

The safety features in the car are top of the line, with adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, cross-traffic alerts on the rear camera, and many others.

All in all, the pros of the SRX far outweigh the cons.

I have owned this car for a year, once I handled the usual maintenace items it has been a great vehicle has everything you could ask for and more, drives down the highway great nice steering and brakes. It is too bad GM downsized this car as they are a bit choppy on the highway while the longer wheel base handles it much better. Great car to own and drive

Bought my 2006 SRX V6 in 2011 with 80k. Problems with the sunroof and brake sensor within the first couple of months ($1000 to fix). It had nice features and finishes but I never really liked driving it so my wife and I switched. Then for the next few years it was regular problems and turned into a money pit. Dumped it off for a few thousand on a trade with about 150k on it. Stay away.

I recently traded in my 06 base SRX for a low mileage 07 Sport V8. l really enjoy the V8 power, ride and styling of these first generation SRXs. My first one never left me stranded and did everything l needed it to do. I even put on a set of 20" sport rims because l like the style better. My 07 is the deep red color instead of the White Diamond of my previous SRX and has the options that l was looking for. My next one will be a black 09 V8 sport edition.

I am really angry with Cadillac for downsizing this amazing
vehicle cus I have nothing to trade up to. Had they left the
SRX alone I would be writing this review about a new one.

l bought this car because of it's looks and performance. lt drives very smooth on the highway but is horrible on bumpy roads and rattles like an old lady. The front suspension is the biggest problem. The engine light comes on quite frequently and have had a few service issues. The interior fit and finish is less than one would expect from Cadillac but the 2007 -2009 are nicer. Overall l do like this car a lot but l wished l could say l love it. l test drove the a 2011 SRX and it was no comparison. l was disappointed. Have been contemplating buying a 2009 SRX V8 Sports Package with low mileage but they seem incredibly rare.

Love this car as it is a pleasure to drive. Lots of leg room. It corners nice and has great handling on the road. The interior is roomy and there is lots of room for passengers. The seats in the back fold down flat and increases cargo carrying capacity if required. Longer intervals between oil changes due to the on board oil analysis. On board Information centre gives lots of details on the cars performance as you drive. It truly is a great car.

This car handles wonderfully one of the best handling cars on the road it handles better than most sports sedans actually the optional Magnet ride control is a great system that can be comfortable and also very firm and race inspired. Lots of cargo room, great outward viability and standard features. The seats are wonderful for travel and for doing stupid things. VERY powerful V8 with killer sound and beautifully matched transmission always on the same page with the driver. Bose sound system as amazing very clear and powerful at all listening levels, Great family car over all!

Classic GM quality issues however prevent it from ever being PERFECT most weeks, because the car was designed with a Corvette as its inspiration it seems to also need to follow the service of a Corvette. The lesser models can be very reliable cheap to maintain cars but the higher end units do have their share of problems that can come up. Substandard fit and finish on the interior, lots of sensor issues and parts and service are very expensive.

Auto journalists adored this car and gave it many awards for the year their truly was no better performance crossover, Having come from drive an Infiniti FX and a BMW X5 this Cadillac was truly the drivers car and out hauled anything on the market for crossovers with plenty of interior space and optional third row seating.

I've owned 35 cars and every one I've owned I got rid of after a year. I bought a 2004 SRX Fully loaded, North star V8, Navigation, AWD, back massage, self cleaning paint, jet thrusters, 110" wide screen 1080P ultra HD surround sound bose audio system in every headrest! and I still have it to this day! My only complaint is I had a coolant leak and i discovered it was coming from an ultra rare, Northstar V8 super temperature resistant plastic T-fitting. I called ALL OVER NORTH AMERICA and the WORLD and NO ONE HAD ANY!!!! I searched high and low, called the CEO of Caddilac, he didn't even have one.... I am taking my chances with a T-fitting from the local auto parts store, hopefully it can hold up to the absolute power of the mighty Northstar V8, Greatest engine known to man!! Best car ever made in existence.

Bought the Caddy in 2008 and have never been more pleased with a vehicle. Extremely comfortable for driver and passengers (I am 6'4 and 220) and I fit perfectly fine in all seats. Drives like a sedan, but feels like a tank. Extremely sturdy and the handling is unbelievable. Rear wheel drive, and engine roars when given gas. Fuel consumption is not the greatest for city driving, but pretty impressive for highway drives. Leather is premium and softer then any other luxury suv's we tested (BMW,Mercedes,Audi). Only disappointment is that the new model of the SRX does not compare. We are having difficulties now replacing it, as some of the Suv's we've tested do not even come close in comparison (BMW X5, Mercedes ML, Audi Q5/7) Oh, and can`t forget about the heated seats and heated steering wheel!

Stylish and comfortable drive. The panoramic full vehicle sunroof is fantastic and a great semi-convertble feel in summer. The chrome alloys gives the car a sporty look despite being a potential 7 seater family car with towing facilities for boat or trailer.

Bought this vehicle with 36Km (23 K miles) and found it on Auto Trader USA. Brought in thru Queenston -Lewiston bridge, no problem. Car is awesome with the rear visual back up camera, double sunroof plus more options than I can name. 20 inch tires are excellent and interior is well done. New 3.6 L engine using regular is peppy and best mileage is obtained when you set it on economy (no drop in performance). Car is comfy and the stereo system is top notch. Rides like a dream...and heated/cooled seats are a real plus. Would recommend Premium model only as it has all the toys for the boys.

Driven a lot of high end vehicles. The SRX 4 performance Model has great on centre steering. A real pleasure to drive long distances. May be the nicest all round vehicle I've ever had the pleasure of owning. Gas mileage could be a little better but it runs on regular which is a plus. No problems so far at 6000 km. If you're looking for a mid sized SUV, I would highly recommend this vehicle.

When you drive this car, you feel the true American luxury! It's comfortable, smooth, powerful and pleasant to drive! This car has all the perks you expect in a high end car. Assuming you are ok with the more than average fuel consumption, this car is perfect for any situation: solo driver or family, commuting during winter (AWD) or going camping.
On the negative side part are not cheap.

Outstanding for long road trips and fantastic in the city. Was a little concerned about 2wd for the winter but Traction Control and Stability control are fantastic even with all season tires for reliable winter transportation. Cadillac had it together when they designed this one. Hate to let it go but too many vehicles put this one on the market.

Reliable, great handling in snow, I live in the country with hills have no problem! Lots of room. Air conditioning works perfect. Has rear climate controls, Keyless entry.

Made me feel safe without loosing any style and comfort. My kids love it and like to go everywhere with it to show off. Best car I have ever had!

Just got this car and it is great. Has awd, ultraview sunroof, and third row seating. This car has tons of towing power (even with the v6) and a super smooth ride. New it might be a bit expensive but worth the money!

Vehicle was used as a company car and driven mostly on the highway. Upgrading to new company vehicle and this one has to go!

We seem to experience quite a few maintenance issues. The first few month we had the car, the battery died on us and had to call roadside service. Next the whole radio/gps/etc unit had to be replaced and this took several months to get the parts to complete. Recently the car died on the side of a road because the thermostat expired and there was a leak in the rad. We had previously taken the car in for servicing because the fan ran for some time after turning off the engine and the service person said it was normal...but it wasn't...it was the thermostate/rad problem. Now the car keeps telling us to 'shift into park' after we have already shifted into park and turned off the ignition. We found out on the owners' web site that this is not uncommon. We love the comfort and style but wonder what's next...

Drove a test drive and loved it. Love driving places in it. The comfort level is great, especially with the rear heated seats. Great for winter time.
