Volkswagen Jetta 2000Change

Has been driving around in this car for almost 20 years. Everything is very good! The interior space is narrower because of extra side impact beams we chose to install. The exterior design is great that it does not look like a 18 year old car when compare to others. Of course, for an old car, it has small problems in its parts, but never big problems. Will consider choosing the same make and model in the future if I want to change car.

This car is alive and well and still out performs the newer vehicles I've purchased. It's a solid drive and is extremely responsive and handles well. Never rusted after 16 years. I've had new cars rust in only 3 years. If you can find one working well, I'd recommend getting it for a winter beater or just a beater. It's like a trusty appliance that rewards you.

This was my best friends car, although she had a couple issues with it, (The driver door wouldn't shut properly and the trunk wouldn't open. Later her alternator died but that might've just been bc it was old) It saved my life literally. We had a head on collision on the highway at about 100 km/h with a Pt Cruiser and that baby really took it like a champ. 10/10 would ride again.

Excellent car, great value for the money, the TDI engine is very economical and reliable, and the styling even after 14 year is still not outdated. people asking still what year and when I tell them it is an 2000 model, they saying whaw!! still looking good for the 2000 model.

This car looks good even 14 years after I bought it. I love the fact that I can use veggie fuel in the summer with no modifications to my engine. There are lots of little tricks that the VW engineers put in this car that even 14 years later new vehicles don't have. Like the red light on the inside of the door panel, so when your door is open at night people can see it. A turn of the key rolls down all 4 windows. A tiny sun visor over the rear view mirror.....etc etc etc. Loved this car, Im having sellers regret....

Originally purchased my used vehicle in 2002 with over 37K Km. Currently, I have accumulated over 272K Km and counting still love my car only issue is the leg room in the back of the vehicle as long as your passengers are short you're fine...otherwise it will be a (2) person vehicle. I mainly use my car as a (2) person car as I sit quite far back and I am of average height.

Still would love to purchase another Volkswagen, but too costly for the SUV even used.

This Jetta TDI has provided me with great gas milage, comfort and rarely any repairs. It comes with a new timing belt, new breaks, and much more. Great for all ages!

I love Volkswagen's and I am only selling mine to get a newer one! :) Yes the parts may be a bit pricey but when changed the care runs like brand new. Many others I know that have had or have Volkswagen's continue buying them, and it must be for a reason. They are nice to drive, and are very stylish in my opinion.

Great car all around with the exception of the transmission. There is no dip stick to inspect quantity or quality, and the transmission is prone to act up after 150km.

Super cheap to run, only down side is that VW parts are expensive although break downs are few and far between. Almost always am surprised when the gas buzzer goes off because you drive forever before refueling. I am the second owner and have put 150 kms on this car in the past 6 years. It has great torque at low rpms which powers you up hills when others are sputtering to get up. It handles very well and is sporty to drive. The body style is timeless, in fact VW liked it so much that they extended the same style in their VW Jetta City version well past 2005 when the Mark 4 was discontinued. My new Mazda doesn't get the same mileage, I wish I had bought another Jetta Diesel, in fact I think I will this summer.

I've recently learned how to drive standard on this car and it was so easy! This car is very forgiving to say the least. It's great on gas and very reliable. I've been driving this car now for almost a year and the only things I would change is 1) The dash needs lights by the heater controls. Very hard to see in the dark and 2) I wish there was more room in the back seats. It may be a four door but it definitely doesn't sit four people comfortably

Got a good deal on this car, however its not up to the standards i thought it would be, having nothing but problems with it since i bought it second hand a few months ago.

this car is pretty quick off the line which i really like and i love the sound of the engine. it has over 300,000 kms on it and it starts up everytime with no problem. the heated seats are a great option to.

Had this car for about 6 years, from around 03-09? It was a good small car. VW cars have good handling so it feels good and easy to drive.( even for long trips)
However, this car had a lot of maintenance and the lights on the dash will never be all gone. I had to change 1 light almost every 2 weeks, eventually I gave up on changing since it was going to died soon anyways. It would be a good car but you would have to sell it at around 6,7 years old or 150k.

The diesel engine is fantastic on fuel!!! Almost 1000km a tank! The diesel engine will go on forever. This was the first year of the new style at the time. Lots of fun to drive with fairly peppy 90Hp manual transmission. Timing belt changes expensive and a pain. Interior okay, cupholders very cheap.

This is a great ride that looks good. My car has lots of power and handles really well.

I got the tan leather interior with black exterior paint. Love the look!

The suspension is a bit tight so you do feel the city roads more than you may like.

Gear shift sticks a bit, this is most likely a result of age and not an issue with the parts themselves. Other than that I have very few complaints about this car.

The drink console broke a couple of years ago but other than that the interior has held up very well.
