2005 Pontiac Vibe

Great ride
I have been driving my 2005 vibe for just over a year and am so glad I decided to buy this vehicle. The gas mileage the Vibe gets is excellent! It has reclining back seats which i find handy for storage for trips etc. I have had no problems with this car and would buy a Vibe again!

Dependable, stylish and surprisingly good on gas
This car is a Toyota under the hood, so it goes without saying that it's a very dependable car. The only money we've had to spend on ours has been for maintenance. We haven't had a single thing go wrong with this car! We love our Vibe!

Very nice car
This versatile little car, lots of cargo room, VERY economical yet zippy.

This little wagon is the same as the Toyota Matrix... same motor, drivetrain, dash board and interior. Except Pontiac fancied it up with 115V plug-in outlet, roof rack for skis/bikes/cargo box, remote lift gate release etc. and charged MORE for it than the Matrix
It would be a great first-time car or one that you could count on for reliability. See the slide show for Reliability Ratings (no surprises since it is essentially a Toyota!). Also included is the VMR Canada "blackbook" 3 month average selling price for this vehicle with this equipment and mileage.

2005 Pontiac Vibe

Reliable family vehicle
We have had this car for almost two years now and we have put A LOT of highway km's on it and had almost no issues with it. We had an a/c line break on us, but we were told that this happens all the time, luckily it happened when we were still under warranty and it was fixed in a hurry and we haven't had a problem with it since.

We have moved a lot of stuff with this vehicle. The fold down seats are amazing, they sit flush with the trunk of the car which makes moving things so much easier.

We have kept up on the regular maintenance and have not had any engine issues whatsoever.

I would recommend this car to a small family who drives a lot.

A dependable car
Living in BC, Canada, this car faces a lot of weather and a lot of mountains. At over 150,000 kms now, it's been reliable and low maintenance. We love this car for our small family, and with the fold-flat back seats it allows for some minor hauling of bigger goods too.

2005 Pontiac Vibe

Its great!
Its great! The vibe is based on Toyota Corolla platforms and running gear; more specifically, the Vibe is a near-identical twin to the Corolla-based Toyota Matrix. The base transmission was a five-speed manual; a four-speed automatic was optional in all but the all-wheel drive model, which got the auto as standard equipment. Mine is the sportier Vibe GT with a six-speed manual as the only choice. The Vibe’s Toyota running gear made for economical operation. A 2003 base Vibe with manual transmission was rated at 7.7 L/100 km (city) and 6 L/100 km (highway), . it is a Affordable Small Car.

Great gear hauler with lots of extras
I purchased my 2005 Vibe used in 2010. From the beginning, this car impressed me with it's amazing fuel economy and comfort. From the sensor that turns on the headlights when it gets dark, to the multiple coin holders and nooks and crannies to store stuff in, this car was made for people like me who are on the road a lot. The biggest selling feature for me was the convenient hatchback style trunk. I have back problems but I can easily get stuff in and out of the trunk without straining my back. This is a great car!
