Oldsmobile 1947-2013Change

Not very pleasant to look at, but this car is very reliable. The car has a carburetor instead of fuel injection, which is a pro in the long term health of the car but a con when it is in very cold weather. Still, the car is overall a fairly nice ride.

I have had this model car twice and it is a reliable vehicle. I purchased both for around $2k, and did not put more than $200 into each one over the few years I had them.

I got an Alero to replace my Honda Civic by total fluke. I lucked out as I got car as someone was pretty much giving it away. It runs like a brand new car & I've got only good to speak of it so far.

I have had this car for a year now and I have no complaints at all. it's decent on gas. Has a nice get up and go. it's my second car and I am in love with it. for a car that's over 10 years old it runs smoothly and is amazing.

For the most part I did not have any problems with the major things like engine, transmission, etc.
However, there were definitely some issues with sensors affecting the ABS, wheel bearings. I can't even remember how many times I had this vehicle in the shop for repairs regarding the above mentioned. Thankfully I had purchased the extended warranty because it sure seemed as if I would have paid even more for repairs than the cost of the extended warranty. I had no idea until after I purchased the vehicle. A friend informed me that her brother's car was always in the shop and I believed her after my experience. Maybe they fixed the later models.

I bought this car just after graduating high school in the 1970's. This car I drove until about 1989. It let me down once with a head gasket problem. My vehicle everyone loved riding in because it was fast and very comfortable ride. It was the most beautiful blue (and of course my favorite color) is blue. This car could stop on a dime and turn on a dime as well. It handled the highways great, dry roads or wet roads it did not matter. Not much snow it BC back in the day so I can not remember driving in the snow. If I could buy that car again I DEFINITELY would. My ex crushed that car because of a head gasket!!!! Can you believe that and after the fact I found out!!!! Anyways my favorite car of all time :) 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

Decent car for the price. Gets me where I gotta go. Good on gas as well. Nice smooth drive. Comfortable steering.

I have had this car for many years and it has been reliable and super comfortable. It has a ton of torque and lots of room inside and a huge trunk. It is the optimum travelling car. Easy to maintain with parts available everywhere it is a great balance of vintage style and modern options. mine even has a working 8-track player in the dash!

I've owned this car now for 9 years and it's been the most reliable car I've owned. I've been lucky in that it's had only one prior driver, and both herself and me do not smoke.I use the car as a way to work and visit friends/family locally in the Durham Oshawa region..so not a lot of travel has happened outside of the GTA..

In the harshest coldest winters my car always starts, excellent battery, I've well maintained it also with regular oil changes. She's a joy to drive, especially being a single girl who needs reliability.

I love that it has so much pep to it, at a stop light its the first to leave the intersection...it's that good...and I say this with no intention of being a speeder...just the smoothness of the car is a joy to drive.

I have owned and driven this vehicle regularly for 12 years in spring/summer/fall seasons and stored it over winter. It is the best riding car with very good performance that I have owned of 12 different makes and models, new and used, including a Silverado pickup. Yes, the 3.4 engine is a bit more hassle to work on, but for the extra boost in power, worth it ! Being the convertible model, I did not drive it in winter, nor did the previous owner. It was not smoked in nor did it carry pets, so the full leather interior is excellent. The exterior is original, and in very good shape, and the anti corrosion treatment has left the body in near rust free condition. I reluctantly offer it now for sale as I have recently acquired a 1930 Ford replica with rumble seat roadster, and cannot keep both at our condo location. The next owner is going to be very happy with this vehicle!!!

Never any problems, starts up all the time, just a very dependable vehicle. Top model in the cruiser line, top rated in the year it was built and still top rated by people that still own and ride them. Always very satisfied with this car.

I enjoy driving this Olds. It has many options that were way ahead of its time; e.g, automatic radio volume, split climate control, automatic temperature control, auto-traction, oil change reminder, .... It pulls a utility trailer nicely and fits a roof rack with car-top box well. Lots of leg room and cargo space.

Not good fuel efficiency, but powerful. Some electrical problems. I had to repair fan control, after that it was OK. There was a problem with rear window heater. I fixed by myself,then it is working without problems. I had to changed right front coil for ABS.

This car has been reliable and a good ride. It has more power and pick-up than expected, especially when passing vehicles on the highway.

Awesome car that is full of top end specs for its day and age. It would rival the cadillacs of the time. Very reliable, and fun to drive. Lot's of power.

Drives smooth with lots of power. Had a paint job many years ago and still looks great. Great looking classic car for collector.

ive owned this car for 4 years now and it is definitely the most comfortable ride i have been in, rides smooth and has soft suspension, and it never dies. My cutlass has 320,000 KM on it and i have had very few repairs since i have owned it.

we loved owning her and have loved driving her heads turn when we drive by and when we kick her down every one looks she is an awsome car and reliable has never let us down was a show stopper at our sons wedding and complemented the happy couple ...

I had this car built for me and I've enjoyed all 125,000 km that I have put on her. She has been very reliable and fun to drive. The original commercials compared this car to a frog and they were right. She hugs the road like a frog to a lilly pad.
She is roomy and I've used the fold down seats quite a few times for larger items. The track control and ABS have saved me from a couple of accidents.

The sound of the exhaust,the feeling of the tires spinning as she goes sideways on the verge of control , your heart racing , your grip getting ever tighter. Second gear lays 10 feet of rubber sideways. third gear hard chirp only now can you pull your head of the seat. Wow ! what a rush. You pull over and take a moment to collect your self your hands shaking as if you just jumped off a bridge with a bungee cord strapped to your feet. Take a deep breath maybe laugh and continue on your way.I love driving this car

This was my mom's car. I have been driving it to run errands since she passed away and also recently took it on a trip to the Kawarthas. The thing runs great; smooth as silk on the highways without feeling like an old boat from the sixties.

I take it out 1 Sunday a month and it is a real pleasure to drive and also a nice experience for the passenger.

I loved this car. Heats up so fast with the V6 engine, handles amazing on our slippery winter roads and on gravel. Very spacious with extremely comfy leather heated seats.

Have had three gm minivans, 2 pontiac montanas, now have the top of the line oldsmobile, soundproofing, steering wheel controls, super comfort great for family road trips, dvd player, rear air and heat

This car is one of the nicest cars I have ever owned. Full marks for style, comfort and the perfect colour combination. A true survivor that has been babied since day one!
