Ford Escape 1986-2017Change

I've been driving a 2013 ford escape sel eco boost for 6 months. It is the worst car I have ever driven for fuel economy. The escape is equipped with a 55L gas tank(14.5Gal). The vehicle has never gone over 380 kms on a full tank of gas. The wipers on the escape have another flaw that ford will not disclose. A small hole near the wipers' motor allows water to get in and it shorts the motor and the wipers stop working. This can be extremely dangerous. On cold days, the escape stalls occasionally when the engine is cold and the radio/navigation/voice control also tend to freeze up on cold days. Overall, not a good car. Especially not good for Canada and canadian winters

Received many great comments from friends and strangers regarding the look of this vehicle. Particularly the colour and contours....it also helps that I upgraded to the Sports Wheels too! Lovely smooth ride and fuel economy is great. Black Leather interior is really sharp and comfortable.

I LOVE my Escape and everyone I know that owns an Escape, also LOVES theirs. Unfortunately, I don't need 2 vehicles so it has to go. This vehicle has never left me at the side of the road and could climb a mountain in the middle of a snow storm. I love the clear visibility it offers in that you sit up a bit higher than a car, but you don't feel like you are driving a 1/2 ton. I highly recommend this vehicle for all ages.

I love this SUV... I will be sad to sell it (only cause I'm moving) It is great on gas , great for the out door life style or just packing the kids around. I get compliments all the time and I love love love the heated leather seats.

The best all around multi purpose vehicle. Is great on gas and can fit everything you would ever want. Reliable and starts on the first try every time.

I love this SUV. It has been reliable. The ride is comfortable. Never had any problems. It is great in the Winter and in the Summer. My car is well maintained, regular oil changes. I will miss my Escape!

I love this truck. Runs smooth, supper comfortable on long trips. Excellent gas mileage on hwy. Over all it fits three child buster seats in the back comfortably. Has fold down seats and seat backs.

This Ford Escape Limited Edition is a fully loaded vehicile with a su[perior comfort level and ease of driving. This edition was their prime edition for a number of years and was the SUV that put Ford in the Top #1 selling SUV in Canada. It has all of the features you would expect in a top of the line model including sunroof, leather seats, V6 and AWD. This vehicle was 95% highway driven and drives still like new.

1.6 ecoboost performs well, all though a recall is in place for overheating and Ford's way behind in producing enough parts.
So you sit and wait for a call and pray your vehicle doesn't break down before the parts come in. The styling is nice and interior seems to work well. I do find terrible blind spots though. Now to get to the big problem........ the gas milage is an absolute lie. Good luck even coming close to the sticker claim. I'm getting 20 m.p.g. less than the stated 47mpg for highway. And thats with very conservative driving. Check out the forums on mpg , everyone will agree, in fact check out the American ford web site and you'll see they don't make lavious claims, thats because their gov. actually verifies their mpg. and ours hasn't in 6 yrs. Our lovely gov. trusts the automaker to be honest.

I really like this car, it has been driven only within the city.
The performance is great, fuel economy is great, it has voice command for all the entertainment package.

Overall it's a great SUV but the gas mileage for a four cylinder is not good. I have a 2.0L Ecoboost and the window sticker claimed 6.9 L/100km highway and 9.8 L/100 km city. I have 16000 km's now and the best I can get is 12.2L/100km average instead of the supposed 8L/100km average. Interior a little tight for cargo space. Otherwise a good unit.

Great vehicle that has never let me down. Comfy on long rides and great in the snow. I have used it to drive clients around for nearly 5 years. It looks good and is very nice to drive.

Have driven all four model years. The body and the specs are so much alike . Why pay so much extra when you can have the same vehicle for thousands less. Like with any purchase .

As the original owner of this vehicle, I have been extremely pleased with performance, value and reliability. The hands free communication system is amazing and works seamlessly with bluetooth technology. For a mid-sized SUV, the interior is very spacious and handles very well in winter driving conditions. Best in class fuel economy, perfect for anyone looking for a reliable for city, highway and rural commuting!

I should have taken it back when it broke down on the way home, but the dealer convinced me that the Coilpack broke down due to the engine shampoo (made sense). Three months later it took another coil...then another...then another...then the computer failed...then another coil. I never know when this thing is going to leave me on the side of the road. If I wasn't mechanically minded it would cost me $600 every time a coil went due to having to take the intake manifold off...Luckily I do it myself, but I'm getting sick and tired of doing it!!!!

I am very satisfied with this vehicle, it has been more than enough for daily activities, but even better for travelling, comfort and plenty of space.
Personally like the exterior styling, I don't know... it looks like a big truck but it doesn't sound or consume as much gas as a big one.
I hardly recommend it.

overall very comfortable car. Completed loaded car at the top end all the bells and whistles! You can pack a ton of stuff in the car.

Great Vehicle, very comfortable drive and handles very well, great in the SNOW! Great for long trips, took it to Mt. Tremblant, Quebec last year and didn't have any issues with heating or it starting up, also with the winter tires it was great on the road.

Extremely reliable vehicle with great handling, especially in winter road conditions. Makes you feel confident even in the worst road conditions. Great features...perfect for small families who travel, excellent fuel economy for an SUV.

We've had a 2010 Ford Escape for over 3 years and love it. It is a super economical car to drive (we can get 8-9L per 100kms in the city!), and also hauls kids, gear, and whatever you need to haul. It is safe, comfortable, stable, and even fun to drive!

Car has been to Florida and British Columbia, bought new on Dec.28/13 as of Oct.12 driven 25,000 kl.Gas and 1 oil change [2nd due soon] is the only service performed. I am still finding new features in this car,the most recent after topping up washer fluid and checking the oil, a warning light made me aware the hood was not closed in the proper position.I would reccomend this vehicle as a buy
