Ford Escape 2003Change

I drive this thing hard and have done very little to it to keep it up to snuff. It's a pretty durable machine considering the abuse I give it. Sure, there has been a couple of little things, but normal issues for a vehicle that vintage. Battery, exhaust, brakes. They are all expected to wear out.
Coil packs were an issue a while ago but again, a familiar problem with this vehicle.
I have over 300K on it now so I'm looking for another Escape to replace this one.

Bought it used in 2010 with 75,000km on it and had to replace the tranny at 110,000. Now the passenger doors won't open, but other than that - I liked the ride and it got me out of some very snowed in situations.

Have had absolutely no problems with this vehicle, everything is still in a brand new stage It has a lot of leg room and the cargo space is great.

I had done my research on the Ford Escape before I purchased this vechicle and I always saw many of them on the road. I have had the vechicle for 4 years I always had it regulary maintained recently changed the brakes, brake lines and had it tunned up. The car is and has been a good car for the price its a great deal.

I love my Escape. I did a lot of research before purchasing it as a two year old lease return. It has a limited edition interior and moon roof plus the V6 engine. Most of the dealers considered me a bit weird, but I specifically chose the 2003 as it had a column shift therefore a place to put my purse when I had passengers. Yup, weird, but I like it!

Love my escape. Great vehicle. Had it for 3 years. Go everywhere vehicle. Have the limited edition with the heated seats and power sunroof and the rear back up sensors,have to say all the extras are awesome. Totally buy another one.

very good experience with this vehicle. had it for 7 years going on 8 and its has been very reliable.
the gas mileage isnt too good but probably because how old it is.
only had minor repairs overall has been a excellent purchase!

transmission and overdrive issues after 5 yrs of driving
noise from cabin will be exxexcive on highway as well gas milliage on highway is fair but city driving is hard on fuel

Power is awesome! We keep pretty much to the posted speed limit and use cruise control when applicable. Some of the functions on it freeze making things like the phone and ipod unusable all together. The navigation system can drive you in circles, literally, then just fix itself a few minutes into the drive and now the screen has just gone black, completely turned off, while driving.

I have put 240,000 Km's on my Ford Escape. Every 2nd weekend I tow a boat in the summer and every 2nd weekend in the winter I tow a trailer with my ATV. This vehicle has been trouble free except for a few minor repairs. Gas milage is great when I am not towing. All around an excellent vehicle.

Its a good truck all around; it gives you the typical Ford problems such as bad coils and oil leaks, but it does the job. I've put more than 180 000k on my 03' Escape, and its been pretty good to me. I would recommend it.

The Escape drives like a car but offers the space and safety of a truck.

This was the first time I owned an SUV so having something with off road capabilities was like an all new adventure.

Been very happy since I first bought this car. As an older driver, this car makes me feel safe, no matter the weather. Visibility is great, and I love the reverse sensors. I'm selling it now so that I can buy a new one.
