Dodge Journey 2010Change

I had purchased this car back in May 2014 from my local Dodge Chrysler Jeep Mitsubishi car dealer who is supposedly renowned in the local area. The salesperson promised a full-year covered and trusty warranty, reliable handling and performance, no accidental issues or modifications to the mechanics and most of all security.
During the sales process the previous owner was on the premises and he also promised a worthy car. So my mother and I purchased full cash for the vehicle and went on our way.
Since then, we have spent over $4,000.00 in mechanical repairs for several problems that were of normal usage but also for recalls, unexpected damages and repairs for 'repairs' that had been previously done before we had bought the car.
From changing the brakes, power steering, new radiator, exhaust system, new tires and ongoing issues like the tire pressure sensor that Dodge Chrysler can't even diagnose. Water inflitration from the roof and coming from the back door because of the unknown repairs that were made previous to the acquistion, which would mean repairs up to $2,500.00 and innumerable meetings with the Dodge Chrysler concession owner - I don't even recommend coming close to these products.
I have owned previous vehicles from makers of Kia, Honda and Hyundai and never had as many problems - not even close. Dodge Chrysler owner iis not even worth the trip to even consider investing your money and time. Sincerely,

Ive read some reviews rating it 1/5 stars and really ive never had any problem the people who claimed it was a horrible vehicle say they had. To me, its probably just the driver/owner.

We keep it well maintained, including oil changes, tire alignments, etc and we have only had 1 problem, the battery. Its a minor fix and not a big issue at all, however we just started noticing its not staring as well as months ago but as I say, its just a quick stop to the mechanic, minor fees, and it's all better.

Gas mileage is exceptional! Prior to this I had a 2006 Ford Fusion with just under 200,000km. Mileage was an issue too however the gas mileage on that is supposed to be better than the Dodge Journey (based on both manufacturer's testing) however we found the Dodge Journey just blew away the Fusion!

Now keep in mind, like with any other vehicle, if you refuse to or neglect regular checkups and issues your having (for us the battery), expect more problems to arise the longer you wait. If this happens, like what I'd assume happened with those rating it exceptionally low stars, the problem isn't with the vehicle, it's actually with the drivers or owners (you).

Having the chance of driving different SUV, made me realize the comfort the Dodge Journey offers. It is the second time I have this model and I look forward to get a newer model!

purchased a 2010 with 15,000. This was the Worst vehicle I have Ever owned in my life. I have had the brakes and rotors done at least 9 times. The engine was putting metal shavings in my oil at 23,000 miles, which meant they had to replace the engine. The alternator went out with 60,000. The PCM and ECM module went out at 100,000 miles. I have never been treated so poorly until I bought a Dodge. The customer service was Horrible. The frustration alone was enough to give me high blood pressure.

This car has been nothing but awesome, Its perfect for all year round with All Wheel Drive keeping you extra safe in the winter months.

This vehicle has lots of space to haul a growing family (or hockey equipment) with a smooth ride and fun to drive.

It is one of Canada's best selling crossovers for a reason... looks good, drives good, and most of all is very safe. Perfect for the family!

JUST LIKE NEW , DODGE JOURNEY 2010 SXT SUV , 5 passengers , very reliable and comfortable . economic and does not consume a lot of gas . Has very level of performance in the road , and even in the snow . You can depend on it where ever you go .

Love being able to see as am short and the adjustable seats and tilt steering wheel are great. Very smooth ride compared to my husbands Elantra. Turns on a dime with ease. Lots of space in back to bring camping needs to RV with the fold flat back seats.

When traded the brakes were chattering (metrage 67000) and had already been replaced twice. It totally died twice luckily not on the highway, Ibougt a ne different make and will never buy another journey!!!

Excellent car, smooth ride, great storage areas and extra compartments, good gas mileage all around a perfect size SUV and a good family vehicle.

This vehicle has great handling on snow and ice. Has great fuel economy and a very smooth ride. Lots of leg room front and back. Large back cargo area with fold-down back seats makes transporting large items or moving your student from one place to another a breeze. Very happy with this top line Crossover just wanting to upgrade to a newer model.

All kinds of power. The interior design of the vehicle is nice and handy for the driver. It pulls a trailer nicely. Finally a washer reservoir big enough for a full container of fluid

This car is my very first. I love this crossover car because it is truly reliable and comfy. It can fit my 4 kids plus hold groceries and personal belongings as well. It has many hidden storage areas. I love it because I can fold all the seats at the back and it can accommodate small to midsize furnitures and appliances. It save me a lot of money in shipping. No need to rent moving trucks.

The Dodge journey is good on gas, reliable and comfortable.Our family loves it.We both it with only 7000 kms.I recommend it to everyone who wants a reliable vehicule.

The Dodge journey is a very fuel efficient crossover with many interior luxuries. including built in nav system. It has great mileage in town but even better on highway.it handles corners well .

want a great car with excellent fuel mileage and roomy enough for the entire family this is the one ...loads of room in trunck for luggage and has ice coolers as well for those day trips

I have had this car for 2.5 years and the only problem we have had so far, is the starter went. That was covered under warenty and everything else has been great! The only other thing I have a problem with is the storage space as I have the 7 seater. If the car is full there is absolutely no room for storage. So for a large family that NEEDS the 7 seats I would not recommend the Journey unless you don't travel with the whole family, or if you don't need the storage space.

Otherwise it's a fantastic vehicle!!

We bought this care brand new. I am happy with it. It was in the shop though for lifters going after a year. That was covered under warranty.

My 2010 Dodge Journey has been very reliable whether on a hot summer day or snowy winter season. I also like having the flexibility to seat 7 people in the car or just pull down the back seats to expand the storage space for long drives or camping trips. Congratulations to Dodge for having the Journey!!! It has been fun and safe driving the 2010 Journey...

I like my journey, however I like the look of the newer ones better than the one I currently have. I also find that there is not much room when transporting small children and all of their things.

this is the best cross over I have driven. I drive the highway every day and it gives me the sense of safety that I like. Heats up fast in the winter and cools down fast in the summer. Love my car.

Beautiful looking vehicle but total lemon. Constantly at the garage, yes warranty covers it but making a car payment on a car that is at the garage monthly is extremely stressful. Dealer said I should apply to the lemon law, Dodge did nothing, wouldn't even give me a small credit to apply to another Dodge product to help offset the loss I would take to trade this vehicle. I wasn't looking for much just hoped Dodge would do something for a customer that has purchased 9 vehicles over the past from them. Dealer helped me a bit with the trade so I would stay there customer.
