Chrysler Neon 2002Change

This is a great little car, runs smoothly and gas mileage is good. Nice large trunk and access to it through the back seat. The leg room isn't the best but it is a nice little car.

The car was driven by one person and was serviced on a regular basis. The mileage was mainly highway between Delta and the Pacific Highway border, approx 40km round trip.

is it a Dodge or a Chrysler, hahaha,

I wanted to correct somone's posting on there car and to confirm the following

The car has it is now old nearly 11 years old is not going to be fantastic and mine has been into the garage a few times but would not say its "a nighmare" its simply an old car! It has not had good comments and most mechanics refer to it as junk. It's always started in winter mornings, only once had to change the battery which is probably ok seeing as I'm in Canada. Its best to get (if not fitted a battery blanket).

There are a few tweaks that need doing, so you best to get onto a forum and check which TSB's need to be done, recently changed the input output speed sensors, again a cheap DIY job.

The lower suspension arm bushes went , that wasnt cheap, but when fixed made the car handle great.

The LE model is a higher end range, but if your looking for a higher spec you probably want a SRT.

It DOES have central locking and an alarm, but annoying that it does not have power windows or the passenger mirror can only be adjusted from the outside... now thats a bit crazy!. Electrically operated trunk is standard on the LE.

Good car to tinker with, slighly under powered so you need to push it, but the 2.0ltr is extremly economical, getting 450kms on a tank.

I used to drive a Porsche, so this is a big come down, if your buying check it out, make sure you get all the paperwork, check for MORE than surface rust and if your going to buy one, get onto a DODGE NEON web forum, the guys will help you,

If you get a 2000 model around $2k (CAN) thats about right

Headlights are expensive so make sure they are nice and clear or the guy gets them polished (around $50 or so)

my car needed a tuneup in 2012 and the oil needs to be top up very frequently but other than that is is a very well running car and i have had no other problems with it

it is an alright car for it being my first i paid 1000 but had to pay over 2000 in repairs.... which wasnt fun... first chance i get im getting a new vehicle...

My very first car and I loved it! I got into a car accident and had to trash my car! if I had the money I would have definitely fixed her up but unfortunately it was time to move on :( I will miss that car! She was so comfortable is a great ride I would speed around town in her and feel amazing!

I bought this car new from a Chrysler dealership in Mississauga in January 2002. I decided that I would be satisfied if I got ten years out of the car and, as it turns out, I have gotten eleven. Part of the reason that my experience was good was that it has received regular maintenance from the service department of the dealership almost every 5000 km. As well, I have had no unexpected breakdowns except for one time when the radiator burst and a couple of punctured tires.
Many of the parts have been replaced over the years (new radiator, new battery, new K-frame) and the vehicle has received regular maintenance for engine, transmission, brakes, steering, alignment, etc. The body is still in great shape; must be the rustproofing. Overall, the car still runs much as it did when I drove it off the lot all those years ago.
In any case, I need to sell the car now because I have a new car and I won't have enough space for two cars come February. It's time for this car to find a new home. It's not a great car but it's a good one, and it's generally been quite reliable. If the new owner is just looking for a car to last for a few years or just needs a second car, and if they maintain it reasonably well, he/she should be quite satisfied.

This car is perfect for a young woman. It is small and easy to drive, as well as good on gas. It is spacious while remaing small. The only thing I would add is cruise conrol

useful and handy takes me to and from where ever I want to go. Dependable and sometimes gets small hiccups which are costly
