Chevrolet Cruze 2012Change

I bought the 2012 Chevy Cruze back in august of 2012. I can say that overall I am pleased with this vehicle. The areas this car shine are the following:

- Good mpg fuel economy
- Options for built in navigation
- Turbo engine optional offering good torque
- Drives well in the snow, easy and smooth and quiet interior, road noise is never an issue.

There are a few negatives:

- Recall on water pump, this is a 10 year coverage however with GM, I had to replace mine 3 times already.

- At 95k mileage I had to replace the gaskets where the engine block is, it set me back around $185.

- Around 65k I had my radio stop working, it is the $1000 option with built in navigation, luckily it was under warranty, I still paid a $100 deductible.

All things considered, far from a lemon, it's been a very reliable commuter for the time I have had it and I do not regret my purchase.

Handles nicely. Comfort, T roof, A/C are nice features i enjoy! Still original brakes. Would buy again!

Bought this car brand new on the lot. I have NEVER had any mechanical or performance issues. It's comfortable for its class - unless you are a rear seated passenger - there is very little leg room for the average person, and trying to snap my grand daughter's car seat in can be a hassle due to no leg room or space to move around. So if your passengers aren't super skinny, they probably wont like sitting back there!

As the driver, or front passenger however, it is quite comfortable! Also, this car handles great in snow, its a fun little car to drive. Fuel wise, it seems decent. i work full time, travel 20 minutes to work 4 days a week, and i fill the tank about once every 2 weeks.

All in all this is a great little car, despite the backseat space issues. Very happy with it otherwise/

A fun, not overly powerful but very peppy car. Good for a first car or a cheap knock around, and the level of tech available for the price is pretty good. The stock engine is sluggish but the optional is fairly peppy, though still won't win any drag races.

The poor rating I have given to this car is for the poor drive-ability of this vehicle in stop and go, heavy traffic conditions.
It does not drive like an automatic... it behaves like a manual transmission being driven by a beginning driver.
In stop and go traffic it jerks and shudders - almost like a kick in the back from a mule. It is almost impossible to drive this car smoothly in heavy traffic.
It hesitates badly on acceleration. It won't move until you put your foot down very far, then it suddenly goes like a jackrabbit which is most embarrassing, makes you look like an aggressive driver.
At low speed, the heater draws in crankcase gases which, again, is most unpleasant and nauseating.
Other than that, the overall style is great, on the highway its great in smooth traffic, it keeps up to speed no problem (its just getting onto the highway initially that's not good when you don't have the power to get upto speed)...i like it because its small enough to fit into my driveway that is between 2 houses, if this car had just a bit more power it would have been perfect.

Now have 19000 km on our 2012 Cruze. Nice car to look at and still drives great.
Problems so far:
- the black rubber trim around the bottom of all four doors started to fall off and hass been replaced under warranty
- oil leak near the torque converter, which has been fixed under warranty.
- oil pan leak, reportedly due to loose screws, has been fixed under warranty.
- I think we have had 3 recall items, all dealt with.
- make sure there is enough head room if you have a sunroof. I am 6' and my hair brushes the sunroof even at lowest seat level.

No other problems to report with the vehicle.

My first "New" car in years, I was not disappointed. There were no breakdowns or major issues in the first two years of ownership. I found it very tight and precise. It cornered very well - stuck to the road "like glue" when cornering a little faster than prudent.

Smoothnride nice acceleration good gas mileage incredible features(weather, movie show times, close gas stations, sunroof, touchscreen, Bluetooth and Bluetooth audio, Onstar app, pandora, rear view camera etc.) my car isn't even fully loaded and it has a ton of features awesome navigation incredibly smart car, comfortable drive . I don't even let other hold my key for too long. Great car for the money don't go to the competitors.

There is not much to say, that car is worth every cent, smooth ride, comfortable interior, good looks and reliability.

My last General Motors vehicle.

This is my 17th car, I've owned Honda's, Acura's, Toyota's, Mazda's, BMW, SAAB, etc. I always said I'd buy an American car if they built a great one, and this was it. Great ride, it's quiet, smooth, handles superbly, and sips fuel like a hybrid. I've had zero issues after 41k. Small turbo makes so much sense. There is some turbo lag between 1500-2000 rpm with the manual, but it's not bothersome. Drive one and you'll understand why it won so many car of the year awards.

A great car that is awesome and takes you anywhere you need to go while saving fuel. great for environment and great for comfort and friends.

The Chevrolet Cruze is one of the best cars that i have driven. I love that it has great acceleration and sound system

This car is very comfortable and has good mileage. There are enough cup holders for a family for our trips. It does feel a little rocky if you speed ie. go over 120 km/h, but I don't normally speed, so no problems there.

i love this car other then the fact that every time i hit turbo i just watch the fuel gauge go down the interior styling is nice, and same with exterior, although there could have been a better factory exhaust because the car sounds like a weedwacker

I have owned this car for under a year now and i still love it. It is very comfortable with carpet interiro and heated seats. The sound system i that i upgraded performs very well and the music is really clear. The car drives smooth, and the steering is very delicate. The brakes work immediatly and the car is farily small so it is easy to park. I do find myself having to go to the gas station quite often, but i do drive a lot as well. The gps is very useful, espceically with the option that allows me to press home and locate how to get home from hwerever i am. The exterior is an electric blue, with lights that are appealing to the eye. Overall, this car is safe and reliable.

This car is a pleasure to own and drive.
Reasonably priced with plenty of creature comforts.
Very good handling even in windy and poor conditions.
Lots of room for passengers and excellent trunk space to carry things around.
Very low maintenance requirements.

Very pleased with the car, I would buy it again

I bough my cruze a year ago and haven't had any issues! The car is very reliable and very good on gas. Servicing the vehicle doesn't cost much.

I would recommend this car to anyone.

all i can say is buy 1 and ull love it, iv had mine four now 3 months and all i can say is gd things about it

While I enjoy that my tanks seems to last quite a while, the car sometimes has this jerking motion when speed adjust. Yet I am told by the manufacturer that this is normal.

We bought our Chevy Cruze LTZ with Turno in March 2012. I couldn't ask for a better car! My boyfriend feels comfortable driving it, I love driving it and it's great on gas. We only started noticing little things we didn't like once it got cold (we live in Alberta, so we have COLD winters). One thing was the "all season" tires were definetly not made for our winters - which we figured anyways since they were stock. The second, was the USB port would not read the data on my phone when it was any colder than 0 outside... even if I let the car warm up. Other than that, I can't complain about it :)

Has cut my fuel consumption in half since switching from my 2001 Dodge Neon. Handles great and I love driving it

We purchased our Chevy Cruze brand new, something unheard of for 21 year olds in these days. We managed it, the price was steep but in our two test drives we were in love with the car. It has a smooth ride, starts easy, learns to react to your driving style, and is great on gas.
We had a few issues, but nothing more than just an inconvenience that the dealership took care of for us. I'm sure the newer models don't have those same issues, but again it wasn't a big deal anyway.
My girlfriend drives to Toronto almost every day for school, so we've put 40,000 km on in a year and a bit, but the car never faltered, never had a hiccup. I'd definitely recommend this car, and now you can get a 2011 for a fair chunk less so it's a much better deal too.

Picked it up expecting it to be ok , but i have had a great time driving it and have had no problems with it yet. Rides smooth and is easy on gas. The interior design is very good, and adds style to the car. It is a very good car and should be considered by anyone looking to buy.

I have had this car for over a year now, and I haven't had any troubles with it!
During the recal, the dealership was prompt and had my car in without an appointment needed and got all the requirements needed, completed within what seemed like no time at all!
