Acura EL 1999Change

This is a wonderful car, that is basically a Honda Civic with a few minor changes. EX (leather seats, Heated Seats, power windows, cruise control, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, exterior looks a little better than the civic)

Great on gas, starts every time. I would totally recommend this car to anybody looking for a good cheap reliable car with a couple toys.

It was introduced in 1996 as a 1997 sedan. It had features not available on the Civic such as amber-lit LED interior dash display, tachometer, power trunk (no keyhole on the trunk), alarm, 15-inch (195/55/15) wheels, antenna in the rear window glass, chrome interior door handles, extra pocket underneath centre console, paint-matched mirrors, side moldings, and door handles, slightly stiffer suspension, 12 mm rear sway bar and 24 mm front sway bar, heated mirrors, and an amplifier. From 1999 all 5-speed models had a leather-wrapped shift knob, similar to the one in the Acura Integra GSR.In addition to the above:
Base: CD player, air conditioning from 1999 only.
Sport: 15-inch alloy wheels, CD player, air conditioning. From 1999: folding heated mirrors and seats, and an upgraded grille on the front end.
Premium: in addition to the Sport, a sunroof, leather seats, and decorative spoiler

car very smooth, lots of power.... nice functions i picked it up about 1 year ago no problems. exepct for the sunroof sometimes doesnt close to well but thats being fixed

Reliable, fun to drive, but needs better cup holders. Trouble with the ignition switch at 175,000 km. Started burning oil at 200,000 km. Handles well, fun to drive. Decent on gas - I use regular. I have owned the car for three years and it hasn't given me any trouble other than the ignition switch, which was recalled by the manufacturer and cost approximately 350.00 to repair.

Great car, bought it back in 2004 as a 5 year old car. Now its been 13 years. Still runs without much problems. Currently have a seatbelt problem where the buckle doesn't click. But repairing will cost too much so we just use a work around. Aside from that, had a few issues where car wouldnt start (once every 6 months or so).

All in all great reliability. Looks decent. Performs mediocre. Great price.

this car is not that good during winter. i don't recommend it due to its small size. during winter, i had a bad experience with it as this car is so small that i always stuck on the snow and it likewise makes me skid all the time especially during january and february where the snow is melting and then gets frozen. so, if i need to buy a new car i would recommend a bigger sports utility vehicle because it is more reliable during winter times. however, this car is good if your are a beginner cause it is easier to use and it is user friendly car. therefore, i kind a rate it on the average side.
