NEW FOR 2011: - Redesigned model - Engine includes variable cylinder management in all trim lines - Available cool box, flip-up trash bag ring and front bag hook - Touring model adds six-speed automatic transmission and new technology features For 2011, the Honda Odyssey minivan is completely redesigned, with greater interior functionality, new styling, more powerful engine and improved fuel economy. A new “three-mode” second-row seat expands laterally and allows passengers to reach the third row even when two child seats are latched into the second row, while the new third-row Magic Seat is one-motion and easier to operate. The new “lightning-bolt” belt line is intended to improve visibility. The top-line Touring trim line now uses a six-speed automatic transmission and features several new available technology features, including a 16.2-inch ultra-wide split-screen rear-seat entertainment system, blind spot indicators, 15-GB hard disc drive audio storage, and tri-lingual (English, French and Spanish) voice recognition on the navigation system. The engine in all models features variable cylinder management, which shuts off cylinders when not required for improved fuel economy; it was previously only available on the upper trim lines. The Odyssey uses a 3.5-litre V6 engine with a five-speed automatic in the LX, EX and EX-L trim lines, and a six-speed automatic on the Touring. Features on the LX include 17-inch steel wheels, dual-zone air conditioning, heated mirrors, privacy glass, tire pressure monitoring system, eight-way power driver’s seat, wide-mode adjustable second-row seat, 60/40 split-folding Magic Seat third-row seat, front bag hook, auto up/down driver’s window, cruise control, CD/MP3 stereo and auxiliary input jack. The EX adds 17-inch alloy wheels, tri-zone automatic climate control, body-colour door handles, security system, heated front seats, multi-functional centre seat, exterior temperature display, flip-up trash bag ring, Bluetooth connectivity, second-row sunshades, power sliding doors, removable centre console, instrument panel centre display with selector knob, six-CD/MP3 stereo, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB connector. A rear-seat entertainment system is available as an option. The EX-L adds parking sensors, power sunroof, four-way power passenger seat, leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 115-volt power outlet, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, cool box, power tailgate, rear-seat DVD entertainment system with nine-inch screen and wireless headsets, and XM satellite radio. The Touring adds 18-inch alloy wheels, acoustic windshield, fog lights, xenon headlamps, blind spot information system, third-row centre armrest, ambient foot lighting, navigation system, third-row sunshades, multi-information display, premium CD/MP3 stereo, high-definition multimedia interface, and rear-seat DVD entertainment system with 16.2-inch display.
