LuvmyCayenne Glides even on a hairpin curve!!! May 26, 2015 S
Overall Score
We have to drive through a snake wind type canyon, to get to our suburban home. The stability through the tightest constant curves of the highway canyon with the ever changing Kilometers per zone is like no other vehicle I have ever handled. The Cayenne S blows away the BMW X 6 which belongs to friends of ours who took the same drive with us. Our friends even boast that they are in the wrong vehicle while taking this drive through snake canyon in British Columbia. Nothing compares to the superb handling & stability plus dependability even the rainiest and frosty conditions. There is virtually no sway, the vehicle glides. Can't say enough of the opulence the Cayenne S provides in so many ways!

Issue: On certain vehicles, covers were not installed over the horizontal headlamp adjusters. As a result, the headlamps may be adjusted horizontally. Canadian regulations do not allow for horizontal headlamp adjustment unless the vehicle is equipped with a built-in aiming device. Safety Risk: Headlamps that are not properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility or glare for oncoming drivers, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install caps over the headlamp adjustment screws.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the airbag electronic control unit could be damaged by an electrical fault. This could cause the airbag system not to work properly in a crash. It could also result in a deployment of the airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners without a crash. Safety Risk: Airbags that do not work properly in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Airbags or seat belt pretensioners that deploy without a crash could create a risk of injury and also increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the airbag control module. If an electrical fault is detected, the airbag control module will be replaced.

On certain vehicles the front hood lock may have been improperly manufactured. The front hood lock upper components, on which the catch bar are riveted to the mounting plate, were not produced according to specifications. This could result in the hood opening unexpectedly while the vehicle is being driven. This could compromise the driver’s ability to see the road and its users, as well as cause damage to the windshield, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the upper part of the lock on the front hood.

On certain vehicles, a defective wiring harness in the passenger seat may result in the deactivation of the passenger side frontal and knee airbags, illuminating the airbag warning lamp. Failure of the passenger airbags to deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the passenger seat in affected vehicles.

On certain vehicles, the seatbelt anchors were manufactured incorrectly and, as a result, may not rotate as designed. Failure of the seatbelt anchorage to restrain the occupant as intended would increase the risk of personal injury during a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the seatbelt anchors.
