- All-new model

For 2010, the Jaguar XJ is completely redesigned. It features all-new engines, new body structure and styling, and comes in regular or long-wheelbase configuration. The new model will go on sale in December 2009 for delivery in early calendar-year 2010.

The XJ comes with a choice of three engines. The XJ (regular wheelbase) and XJL (long-wheelbase) use a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8. The XJL Supercharged uses a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 that makes 470 horsepower, while the XJ Supersport and XJL Supersport use a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 that produces 510 horsepower. All use a six-speed automatic transmission that features Jaguar's signature rotary dial gear selector, which rises out of the console when the ignition is turned on.

Features on the XJ include 19-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED tail lamps, chrome exhaust finishers, automatic xenon headlamps, power trunk lid, rain-sensing wipers, power-folding auto-dimming heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, blind spot monitor, front and rear parking aid, tire pressure monitoring system, 16-way driver and 12-way passenger heated and cooled perforated leather seats, heated rear seats, auto up/down windows, panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control with automatic speed limiter, garage door opener, illuminated vanity mirrors, puddle lamps, keyless entry with pushbutton start, CD/DVD stereo with touch screen and XM satellite radio, Bluetooth audio streaming, and navigation system.

The long-wheelbase models add four-zone automatic climate control, illuminated rear vanity mirrors, rear business trays, electric rear sunshade, and manual rear side window sunshades.
