Overview
NEW FOR 2010:
- All-new model
An all-new model for 2010, the Lexus HS 250h is Lexus' fourth hybrid and, according to the company, the world's first dedicated luxury hybrid vehicle. Unlike other Lexus hybrids, it does not have a conventionally-powered sibling in the Lexus lineup, although it is loosely based on the all-new Toyota Prius platform.
Fitting between the IS sport sedan and ES luxury sedan, the HS 250h uses Lexus' first four-cylinder gasoline engine, a 2.4-litre with Atkinson cycle with hybrid synergy drive. It will also feature an exhaust heat recovery system to reduce engine warm-up time, a windshield with infrared-ray reduction to keep the interior cooler, and available power-saving LED headlamps. The new model will also use plant-based, carbon-neutral "Ecological Plastics" in the cargo area, cowl side trim, door scuff plate, tool box area, floor finish plate, seat cushions, and package tray.
Features include 17-inch alloy wheels, electric power steering, lane departure warning feature, leather-trimmed seats, sunroof, ten airbags, premium audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, USB connector, multi-information display, and available navigation system and heads-up display.
