The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E400 Cabriolet is now on sale in Canada, but unlike in other markets, it does not offer a rear-wheel drive variant.
In the Great White North, it will only be available as a 4MATIC, with a starting price of $80,300.
The Cabriolet, and its E400 Coupe sibling, have been completely redesigned for the 2018 model year.
Four-seat Cabriolet models come with the AIRSCARF heating system, which circulates warm air around the neck area, and an optional AIRCAP technology. That uses an electric wind deflector integrated into the roof frame and an electric wind blocker behind the rear seats.
Mercedes-Benz's AIRCAP system is designed to reduce wind turbulence for occupants inside the vehicle.
The Cabriolet’s automated soft top, offered in dark brown, dark blue, red or black, features acoustic insulation to cut down on wind and driving noise on the highway, Mercedes-Benz said. Opening and closing takes about 20 seconds and can be operated even when moving, up to 50 km/h.
A 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 delivering 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque is paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission to drive all four of the E400's wheels.
