I have a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis. I am the third owner. The original owners were a middle aged couple in Broadmead. They gave it to their grandson for two years. Then the grandson couldn’t keep it, and I bought it around 2003. It drives beautifully; sometimes it’s so quiet that I’m not sure it’s even turned on. Other good stuff:· New tires (a few months old, but most of those months the car was not used.)· New battery· Smooth ride· Leather seats (worn, but leather)· Good stereo – but cassette· Great heat – but no A/C· Huge trunk· Baby seat docking bolts· Engine always well maintained, regular oil checks and service.· Power antenna, locks, seats, window defroster, fans all work (see below for windows)· Kph/Mph option on digital dash· Wire wheel covers· Mileage – 230KMs There are lots of things that could be fixed, but I chose not to fix them.· Left side power mirror· Right side mirror was replaced with a standard mirror (useless)· Windows, except for the driver’s window, are not operational. (They come down, but won’t go up. Something about the mechanism just getting tighter each time the window goes down? If the window goes down, it must be manually pushed up.)· Driver door access panel clip was broken. When the mechanic turned off the left power mirror which was stuck in adjusting mode, then opened up the are wire panel and just duct taped it back up. Looks awful, but the buttons still work.· Grandson who owned car managed to lose the key to the door, trunk and glovebox. The key I have just starts the ignition. I use the keypad to open the door.· A/C needs Freon which is no longer available. (Unless you go to the States.)· Clear coat peeling on roof and trunk
