Up for grabs is this near mint condition, beautiful and somewhat unique metallic burgundy-red Dodge Charger SRT8. This was the car to re-introduce the mighty HEMI in the form of the 6.1 L. It has seen an average of less than 2,000 km per year of use, summers only, and has always been kept inside and even undercover the majority of the year. The car has actually only been caught driving in the rain a few times, I do try to avoid it. The wheels are the Alcoa SRT8 wheels that came out with the 2008 Dodge Challengers, a set I preferred over the originals, and they have been set up to work with this car’s electronics for the pressure sensing system so everything is working. One of the wheel rims has a light and repairable grazing on the outer edge from a tight turn with curb in my parkade, and which I have left unrepaired just in case it happened again, but otherwise the car has few flaws and is basically a showroom condition car. Note all the 24k gold plated exterior emblems in place of usual chrome, including wheel center caps and the shifter trim ring inside; I have yet to see another Charger with this custom feature which makes it unique enough for many to notice and comment. The burgundy paint really sets them off. There are essentially no dings or scratches anywhere and the 245/45R20 rubber is original and still good to go. You won't likely find one with lower mileage. The car appears to have all the options available including a tinted power sun roof. The side and rear windows are custom tinted as well both front and rear and being darker in the rear, but this can be removed if unwanted. The only aftermarket parts on the car are aside from the tinted windows is a K & N intake system and an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system that keeps the car reasonably quiet... until you step on the gas, these airflow improvements bringing the horsepower to about 455. Don’t miss out before I change my mind. Compare to newer SRT models that can cost up to twice as much and more, or 6-cylinder SXT’s with likely more mileage at about the same asking price as this? No contest as to which one you would rather drive, which one will turn heads, which one is faster, and which will retain more value if you take care of it. And no taxes on a private sale in Alberta, which on a $29,500 dealer car would be $1475 more for GST plus their signing fees. Get more bang for your buck.
