Selling my Volt. Drive 40 to 70 km per day on electricity. That 40 to 70km costs you between $0.80 and $1.20 in electricity depending on your rate. That's 400 to 700 km of driving for $8 to $12. It is so cheap to run. Also makes a great commuter car as you can drive in the HOV lane legally BY YOURSELF! It is already registered with the province, so enjoy HOV driving. Of course if you need to go further, the onboard gas engine will take you as far as you want!!Charges with a regular plug, with charger included. No special outlet required. There are more and more free charging stations popping up every day. Lots of malls have them, and the city of Vancouver has street parking with free parking and free charging. Many government / public buildings such as schools, libraries, city hall, office buildings etc have charging too. Its great. You also hardly use the brakes so you don't have that maintenance. If you want to drive further than the 40 to 70 km per day (temperature, speed etc sensitive) then the on board gas engine starts and takes you as far as you want to go (500 or so km per tank). On gas alone, this car gets between 6 and 7 L per 100 km.Although this car has high mileage, it drives like new. This guy has over 480,000 km on his and still going strong.https://transportevolved.com/2016/03/08/highest-mileage-2012-chevrolet-volt-still-going-strong-at-300000-miles-with-one-third-on-electric-power-alone/Anyhow, if you are reading this, you probably already know about the Volt, so I'll spare you any more reasons to get a Volt. There is a dent on the rear lift gate where I accidentally backed into a miniture size recycling container. I can get this fixed or shave a bit off the price for you. It hasn't broken the paint and is very hard to see. The pictures kind of make it look worse than it is.This is the Base Volt which has power everything, auto climate control, cruise, remote keyless entry (2 remotes). The tires are at 75% or more of tread remaining and the brakes are good too. Recently had them checked at Dueck in Steveston.I'm selling it as I want to purchase a newer one with more options such as back up camera, leather and heated seats (the only things mine is missing).I live and work downtown, but think this would be a great commuter car for someone who drives regularly. You'll enjoy this car for hundreds of thousands of kms to come.2012 Chevy Volt Chevrolet Volt
